The Social Club meets on Friday evenings from 7:00pm till 9:00pm. We play carpet bowls - sometimes very well, sometimes so-so - but we have lots of fun.
On average, we have 20 members and would most definitely welcome new members of any age, whether they have ever thrown a bowl or not. We will teach them - it's easy.
We stop for tea half way through, for which we pay £1. At the end of the year this money goes to the Church.
We periodically play a competition with the men's club - unfortunately, they won the cup this year but hopefully we will get it back next year.
Each year, we have a musical group who come along to entertain us - this year it's the Paisley Operatic and Musicality Group on 10th October. We always have a full house for their shows - they are excellent. |
